WIR + ЯHI

In 2016 Markus Daum set up his outdoor installation “WIR + ЯHI” in Rottweil-Hausen. In a disused telephone booth he placed an ensemble of placeholders for those excluded and those who defame each other, symbols of the monotheistic religions and other socially explosive iconography. The small cell has thus temporarily become the center of the world-cultural DNA of all fundamental personal and world conflicts. Here in the telephone booth, which is originally designed for communication, the apparently so incommensurable is completely defused to a peacefully coexisting group picture. A memorial for tolerance: transfer the outer world to the inner world, get to know it and overcome the fear of the unknown!
